New Jersey's Transportation Management Associations (TMA)
TMAs are nonprofit organizations that collaborate with employers, government agencies and consumers to solve local transportation problems and to make the public aware of transportation alternatives to driving. TMAs can provide consumers with valuable information including: carpool/vanpool matching services; area bus, train and shuttle schedule and route information; biking & walking safety information and traffic information/updates. There are eight TMAs in New Jersey as follows:

Transportation Provider Resources
- New Jersey Community Transportation Training Program
Offers training assistance from the National Transit Institute at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey to local and human services transportation programs/providers through an initiative supported by NJ TRANSIT. Course information is available on their website http://www.njcttp.org.
- New Jersey Regional Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plans
Presents the United We Ride coordinated human services transportation plans prepared by each NJ County. United We Ride is an interagency federal initiative that supports states and their localities in developing coordinated human service delivery systems. http://www.njcttp.org/united/NJCountyTranspPlans.php.

- NJ TIP Inc.
Offers travel training/instruction. NJ TIP is dedicated to increasing the independence and self-sufficiency of persons with disabilities and senior citizens by empowering them to use the public transit system. Their one-on-one travel instruction is available in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic and Somerset Counties. Offers information on the interagency federal national United We Ride initiative designed to promote coordinated human services transportation delivery systems in states and communities throughout the country.
